-
Tap the three-bar menu icon in the bottom left corner of your Walt Smart Radio.
-
Select Radio Scan
-
Choose the option to scan "Favorites".
You’ll know you’re scanning favorites when the Radio Scan icon appears with a star next to it, as shown below.
Favoriting Channels on the mobile App
You can also favorite channels on your mobile app! Head to your channel list and find the channel you would like to favorite.
When you’re inside a channel, tap the channel name at the top of your screen to open its settings.
For example, if you're in the Maintenance channel, just click where it says “Maintenance” at the top to access settings like Add to Favorites, Notifications, and more.
You’ll then see the Favorites option in the channel settings. Just tap the star icon to favorite the channel
Defaulting Favorites in Console
Admins can easily set a channel to appear as a default favorite for any user assigned to it. This ensures that high-priority channels are always front and center on every user’s Walt, mobile app, and web radio user.
How to Set a Default Favorite Channel:
-
Navigate to the Admin Defined Channels tab from the left-hand menu in the Weavix Console.
-
Select the channel you want to edit (e.g., "Maintenance").
-
Click the Settings tab at the top of the screen.
-
Scroll down to the Favorites section.
-
Toggle the option for "Default Channel as Favorite."
Once selected, this channel will automatically be pinned to the Favorites section for every user added to that channel—making important communication faster and easier to access across all platforms.
Note: Users can still choose to unfavorite the channel on their own if they prefer.
Using Conditional Overrides to Favorite by Craft or User Group
If you don’t want to favorite a channel for everyone, you can use Conditional Overrides to target specific crafts or user groups within the channel.
For example:
If you have a Maintenance Request channel, all users might need visibility, but only the Maintenance craft needs that channel favorited. With a conditional override, you can favorite it just for that group—keeping their channel list focused and clean without affecting others.
This adds flexibility to how you prioritize channels for different roles across your organization.
Favoriting channels is a simple but powerful way to make sure your teams stay focused on what matters most. Whether you're pinning critical channels to the top of your Walt Smart Radio or customizing visibility for specific crafts through conditional overrides, the Favorites feature helps streamline communication and boost productivity across your workforce.
As your organization continues to grow and adopt Weavix, using features like these ensures your team is always connected, aligned, and ready to respond.
