The Channel Scan feature allows users to customize which channels they want to listen to during their shift. This gives you more control over the communications that matter most to you.
How It Works
Channel Scan is a profile-based setting that can be adjusted under the Walt Menu screen.
Once you select Channel Scan, there are three options the user can choose from:
1. Favorites
Plays audio only from the channels you’ve marked as favorites.
Ideal if you only want to monitor key channels throughout the day.
Pro Tip: This is the default Channel Scan setting when a user first activates their account.
2. Off
Turns Channel Scan off completely.
When scan mode is off, you’ll only hear audio from your active channel.
3. On
Plays audio from all channels in your channel list, regardless of whether they’re marked as favorites.
Ensures you don’t miss communication from any of your active channels.
Pro Tip: Channels that are manually muted will not play out loud.
The Channel Scan feature helps tailor communication to match daily priorities and work needs. By allowing users to customize which channels they hear from, Channel Scan ensures that communication remains clear, efficient, and relevant to each person’s role. Whether focusing on key updates through Favorites, staying fully connected with On, or limiting distractions by turning the feature Off, users have the flexibility to manage how they listen throughout the day.
