The Safety-Compliant Music feature is in Public Preview as of April 11, 2024.
What is Safety-Compliant Music?
What is Safety-Compliant Music you might ask? It is the latest in innovation to keep your workers engaged and satisfied. Powered by iHeartRadio, Safety-Compliant Music allows workers to listen to local music stations on their walt Smart Radios.
Check out this video from our Chief Innovation Officer, Ben, as he dives into the full functionality of the newest feature:
Why is this safety-compliant?
Safety-Compliant Music gets its name from the fact that the feature was developed with safety as a top priority. We know that safety is always your top priority, so we want a way for your workforce to be able to list to music, but to do it in a safe way.
With Safety-Compliant Music, you as an admin put the guardrails in place for music on your site.
- You can turn music on or off at a Site level.
- You can choose to require headphones for music to be enabled.
- You can set the maximum volume level of the music to make sure your users can clearly hear their surroundings.
- You can select specific geofences to ban music. So if a user enters a geofence that requires their full attention, the music will turn off automatically. Then, when they leave that geofence, the music will be re-enabled.
How do I enable Safety-Compliant Music for my workforce?
Safety-Compliant Music is enabled for your workers in your Site settings. In the Console, go to Sites in the Navigation on the left side of the page and open your Site. Select the Safety-Compliant Music tab to edit these settings.
Note: If you do not see this tab available on your site settings, reach out to your Account Manager or email help@weavix.com to get the feature enabled for your account.
Once on the Safety-Compliant Music tab, you can update the settings regarding music usage on your site. As noted above, there are several settings you have control over to ensure music is acceptable for use on your site.
