Using the Custom Dictionary in the weavix Console

The Custom Dictionary in the weavix Console allows administrators to define company-specific words and phrases to improve the accuracy of speech recognition for transcribing employee messages. This is especially useful for industry jargon, acronyms, site-specific terms, or proper names that are commonly used across your workforce.

Accessing the Custom Dictionary

To get started:

• Log in to the weavix Console.
• Navigate to Configuration in the left-hand menu.
• Select Custom Dictionary.

Adding a Custom Word or Phrase

If there are no existing entries, you will see a message saying "No Custom Entries Found" along with a button to Add Word / Phrase.

• Click the blue Add Word / Phrase button in the top left hand corner to open the input form.

Fill in the Fields

• Word / Phrase: Enter the word or phrase you want the speech recognition engine to recognize more accurately (e.g., acronyms like "KC" for Kansas City).

• Site: Select the scope of the entry. You can either choose a specific site or apply it across All Sites. It is recommended to apply entries across All Sites when applicable to ensure uniform coverage.

Pro Tip! Use acronyms, industry terms, and names commonly misrecognized. Also, be sure to avoid general words that might conflict with standard dictionary terms.

Save your work 

Once the information is filled out:

• Click Save to confirm that your work has been stored in the bottom right hand corner. 

• Click Cancel if you decide not to proceed.

The word will now be part of the custom vocabulary used during speech-to-text transcription, helping ensure consistent, accurate transcription across the organization.
