- A Geofence is a virtual fence or perimeter around a physical location. Like a real fence, a Geofence creates a separation between that location and the area around it. Unlike a real fence, it can detect movement inside the virtual boundary.
- There is no limit on how many can be created.
To add a Geofence:
- Click on Geofence Types and click Add Geofence Type
- Type the name of the Geofence Type you would like to add, assign a Color and a Classification and click Save
Classifications
- Working Area: Time Users spend in these Geofences will be counted as Working or Productive time
- Break Area: Time Users spend in these geofences will be counted as Non-working or Break time
- Non-Working Area: These areas are not counted as Productive time but are not specifically Break areas.
- Examples: permitting areas, training areas, and tool sheds
