Welcome to our guide on Mass Importing users to an account! Managing large numbers of users can be a daunting task, but with bulk upload functionality, you can streamline the process and save valuable time. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to efficiently bulk upload users to your account.
Get Started
Let's start with downloading the Import template. To access the template, you will need to follow the steps below:
Navigate to the user's tab within console and select "Import users" in the upper left-hand corner.
Download Template & Prepare Data
This will take you to Step 1 of your bulk upload, prompting you to download the template by selecting the blue "Download Template" button at the bottom.
You can also see what information is required for your users and what is optional.
Keep in mind anyone that will need access to anything in console will need to be a "Full User" and will require a phone or email associated with their profile.
Upload List
Once you have completed the template, you will move to step 2 of your bulk upload which will be Uploading your template. Once you have uploaded the template select "Next" in the bottom right-hand corner.
Columns Unmatched Banner
Next will be our Column Mapping section. On this page you will want to ensure all columns from your template match the different fields of user information in weavix.
If there are any columns that weavix cannot match automatically, you will be prompted with a red banner letting you know which ones you need to review. You will get an unmatched banner if weavix does not recognize column title as a weavix user field. You can use the arrows on the banner to navigate through the columns.
Each column will have a drop-down menu you can access by selecting the downward arrow. Here you will see the different options available in weavix for you to match the column with. If you do not see a relevant option for your column then you will need to remove it from your template as weavix does not support it.
You can also unselect any columns that aren't needed for the weavix system or take time to make any edits to your template. If you do decide that you need to make any edits, you have the option to re-upload the template from this page by clicking the "Reupload Users" button on the upper right-hand side of the screen.
Once you have matched all your columns, you will get a green banner with a check mark.
Click "Next" to move to the next step.
Error Check and Repair
The Error Check and Repair stage will check for any errors on your users' details. There could be a number of errors ranging from a duplicate user to a non-existent craft in console. weavix will prompt you to repair any errors with a red banner which will also list how many errors were found and what they are. You can also view each error individually by hovering over the red exclamation point icon, seen below.
You must fix all errors before you can move to the next step. You can fix the error directly in weavix or if you need to make a bulk change, you can edit your file and use the Reupload Users button in the top right corner.
Once all errors are completed you will receive a green banner and the "Next" option will be available in the lower right-hand corner for you to move to your final step.
Finalize Upload
This will take you to your final step of the mass import where you finalize your upload. Here you can double check that the user count in the blue banner is correct and select "Finish" in the bottom right-hand corner.
Once you select "Finish" you should get a pop-up indicating your mass import is complete.
Now all you need to do to get your users up and running on weavix will be activating your users!
