The weavix Mobile App gives you flexible control over how you receive push-to-talk audio and notifications, helping you stay connected without unnecessary interruptions. Whether you need to silence a single channel or mute all activity at once, weavix offers several options to manage your audio experience based on your environment and preferences. This guide walks you through each setting so you can customize your communication the way that works best for you.
Mute an Individual Channel
If you would like to mute an individual channel, you can swipe left on the channel name to reveal two green icons.
Taping either icon will turn it gray, indicating the setting is disabled:
Speaker icon: Mutes Push-to-talk audio for that channel. All messages will be received silently.
Bell icon: Turns off push notifications for that channel.
Once both settings are turned off, you'll see two small icons in the bottom right corner of the channel, making it easy to identify muted channels at a glance.
Pro Tip! If you receive push notifications, ensure they are enabled in your phone's system settings.
You can also mute and silence a channel by entering the channel. Click on the name of the channel you wish to mute.
Once in the channel, click on the name of the channel at the top of your screen.
You will see the mute and notifications icons. Tap on each to mute and disable the push-to-talk notifications.
Taping either icon will turn it red, indicating the setting is disabled.
Mute All Channels
If you need quick silence across all channels, you can mute everything with one tap.
In the upper right corner of your Channel list, tap the speaker icon.
A confirmation screen will appear asking if you want to mute all channels.
Once confirmed, the speaker icon will now display an "x" indicating all channels on your device are muted.
Pro Tip! This is a great option when heading into a meeting or wrapping up for the day!
Obey Silent Mode (iPhone Users Only)
For iPhone users, there is an additional setting that allows the weavix App to follow your phone's silent mode.
Open the Menu, then Settings.
Choose Radio Settings.
Enable the iPhone silent mode checkbox
With this enabled, whenever your iPhone is set to silent, the weavix app will automatically silence itself as well.
