The Device Management tab is your central hub for monitoring and managing all of your walt Smart Radios. As an admin, you'll be able to view real-time information about each device, export data for reporting, and easily move devices between project sites as needed. This guide walks you through he key features of the tab and how to get the most out of it.
Understanding walt Statuses
Each walt Smart Radio displays a status indicator to help you quickly identify its current state.
| Status | Description |
| 🟢 Active | Currently logged in and live |
| 🔵 Docked | On the Wrangler and logged out |
| 🟣 Logged Out | Logged out and not docked |
| 🟠 No Connection (Assigned) | Turned off or battery died while a user was logged in |
| 🔴 No Connection (Unassigned) | Turned off or battery died with no user logged in. Docked for longer than 24 hours |
| ⚪ Unassigned | Removed from the dock, powered on, but no user is logged in |
These statuses help admins quickly monitor device availability, identify connectivity issues, and manage deployments more effectively.
Export walt Information
You can export your Walt data into an Excel file for easy review and reporting. There are two export options:

Export all walts: Download a complete list of every device.
Pro Tip! Select all walts by clicking the check box on the grey column header bar. -
Export specific walts: Select one or more devices to export only relevant data.
To export:
- Select the Walts you'd like to export by checking the boxes next to each device.
- Click on the blue Selected tab in the top right corner.
- Choose Export Selected.
An Excel file will then download with the following data points for each walt Smart Radio:

Pro Tip! Use the Version column to verify that all your walt Smart Radios are running on the latest software version.
Moving walts Between Sites
If you're reallocating Walt devices for a new project or changing site assignments, you can easily move them in the Device Management tab.
To move devices:
- Select one, some, or all Walts using the checkboxes on the left.
- Once selected, click the blue Selected tab in the top right corner.
- Choose the Move option.
- A Change Site pop-up will appear. From there, reassign the selected Walts to the appropriate site.
