If you are just getting started with weavix and need to onboard your entire company or maybe you just need to onboard a new department, when activating a large group of users, weavix recommends a Town Hall approach.
The idea here is to gather all the users in a room to get them all activated at the same time. There are several benefits to this approach:
- It is easier on the admin because they can activate all users at one time without needing to track down every individual
- Training can be provided to the group on how and why to use weavix as their communication tool
- It is better for the users because they all are trained the same way and can learn from each other as they all log in to weavix for the first time
- It gives your users the chance to ask any questions on their new Smart Radio
Recommendations
- Plan on how to gather groups, generally by shift or department. You will want to train any critical teams like supervisors or the safety team first so they are available for the rest of your users.
- Groups of less than 50
- Conduct all trainings as close together as possible to avoid any lapse of communication
- Have all walt's charged and ready to hand out to users as they enter the town hall along with a NFC badge.
- Onboarding guides should be displayed on a table in alphabetical order for users to easily locate their unique guide.
- Have a screen available for you to be able to display any training material needed.
- Communicate to all users that they will need to bring in any previous communication systems, like legacy radios, to the training to easily collect and ensure a clean swap to the weavix system.
It is also important to communicate your expectations for the use of the weavix system to your team, especially if some of them have not used radios before. Having the ability to quickly communicate with co-workers at the touch of a button can greatly improve your workers' efficiency, but it can require a small shift in the way they normally work.
